319 Grant update

We have been approved for our grant and will be working with Jefferson County and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. Watch for brochures in the mail and signs on our County Roads. See the '319 GRANT NEWS' for more details.

One of our grant sites was chosen by the Corp of Engineers for a training site in 2012.

There was such a successful turnout and they enjoyed working with everyone so much that they are looking at a couple more site to use for training opportunities for Stream Bank Stabilization project along the Belews Creek!  We are very fortunate to have them working with us.

Jefferson County is presently working on area behind Administation Building for a BioRetention training site.

This area will be used as a demonstration and reference area for Bio-retention and rain gardens.  Everyone is very excited about this project and believe it will be a showcase of the work that has yet to be done in Jefferson County.  It will be a park atmosphere, with rain gardens and different ways of controlling erosion.

ByLaws & officers have been approved.
